Still too many shots in the chest or way wide, but hopefully getting better. He forgets he’s half the size of those guys and digs in deep. Q was getting to pucks they were being beat to earlier and getting separation that wasn’t there before. I think conditioning played a part in that game. They came out strong for a few mins and then slipped into chaos mode for about 25 mins. Let’s hope this is the end of the goal scoring problem.Definitely two different games. Tonight they reminded me of the 2016 Bobcats a bit. I think The last two periods was the best they have looked all year. Their response to being down three goals was excellent. I must admit I lost all hope after AZ scored their third goal at the beginning of the second.
On an aside, sucked seeing an empty arena for a Yale v. Nothing bad to say about the D, they look good even in bad games. Love to see them crash the net more and make the goalies more uncomfortable. Unless Tufto and Priske come back, that’s not happen with this group. I agree the PP is looking for the Perfect Bomb. They would get the Greasy goal off a scum or rebound. Pecknold’s successful teams I think had a bigger net presence. There seemed to be times when The puck was in Yale’s end so long he could have napped. Perets looked good but only faced 12 shots in 60 mins. Against Yale you can get away like that but not against better teams. This reminds me a bit of the ‘18 team that would pepper the goalie with shots but not hit spots. They are not going to win games just with their defense as they need to score goals. I think the the offense is a major concern right now.
